My Reading Interview With Alex Lords Gene For Florida Kiss Tribute : Kiss Alive The Tribute
Hi everyone welcome to anther episode of WeWillBlogYou am your host Hannah and joining me today is one of my friends from Florida Kiss tribute band called Kiss Alive The Tribute he plays Gene in everyone please welcome Alex Lords!
Question 1: Alex How are you today?
Alex: Thank you for having me Hannah. I’m doing well, how are you?
Question 2: Alex can you tell us alittle bit about yourself like where you grew up like alittle friendly introduction?
Alex: Well I mainly grew up in Miami Florida but I’ve also spent a lot of time in New York City, Los Angeles, and Nashville , Tennessee.
Question 3: When did you start playing bass?
Alex: I started playing guitar first around the age of 13, I moved on to the upright Bass and violin when I enrolled in a musical strings class in middle school. I was listening to Alice Cooper, Elton John and KISS at that time.
Question 4: When did you get into music and who were your music influencers?
Alex: Well I’ve always been a music fan as far as I can remember. I really started listening to my Dad’s Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin records. I later discovered The Beatles and The Monkees. I was very young at the time, maybe 5 years old.
Question 5: Did you discover Kiss and Who is your favorite member of Kiss & why?
Alex : I believe I was 13 years old when I discovered KISS. It’s hard to pick one favorite member because I love them all. But seeing that I play the role of Gene in KISS Alive The Tribute, I will say Gene is my favorite.
Question 6: Alex can you tell your journey of how you became Gene in Kiss Alive The Tribute?
Alex : Well I actually played Gene in another tribute some time ago. It was my first exposure to the tribute scene. I recently heard the there was a KISS tribute song n Florida that was looking for a Gene. So I contacted them and they told me that they would call me back in 3 months to schedule an audition. While I was waiting for that audition, I received a call from a gentleman asking about my experience as a Gene Simmons tribute artist. We spoke for some time. I was a little apprehensive at first because now there were two tribute bands interested in auditioning me. The gentleman on the other end of the phone was very pleasant any professional, I decided to come down to a rehearsal studio and meet with the full band and audition. Well that audition was with KISS Alive The Tribute. It was an easy decision for me because they are very talented professionals and more importantly for me, they are very friendly and kind gentleman. They made me feel welcome and that I was not only a member of their band, but a member of the family. John ,Eric, and Jimmy are excellent musicians and very good friends. I am privileged to be in this band.
Question 7: Are you in any other bands or just Kiss Alive The Tribute ?
Alex : I am exclusively in KISS Alive The Tribute.
